Individual Counselling & Psychotherapy
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, and it is not always easy to make sense of what you are feeling on your own. Individual counselling offers a safe, confidential space where you can talk openly about what is going on for you, without judgement or pressure.
I work with you at your pace, listening carefully and supporting you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Together, we can begin to understand patterns that may be causing distress and gently work towards change, helping you feel more grounded, resilient, and able to cope with life’s challenges.
Individual therapy can support you with anxiety, low mood, grief, past experiences, relationship difficulties, major life changes, and times when you feel stuck or unsure of yourself. Over time, therapy can help you develop greater self-understanding and a stronger sense of wellbeing.

Couples & Relationship Counselling
All relationships face challenges at times. You may be feeling disconnected, struggling to communicate, or trying to make sense of a difficult experience such as an affair, loss, health concerns, or external pressures like work or family life.
Couples counselling provides a safe, neutral space where both partners can be heard and understood. I support couples to explore patterns within their relationship, improve communication, and develop healthier ways of managing conflict and difference.
The aim is to help you reconnect, understand each other more deeply, and move forward with greater clarity. For some couples, this means strengthening their relationship. For others, it may involve making difficult decisions with care, honesty, and respect.
EMDR Therapy
Trauma does not only live in the past. It can affect how you feel in your body, how you see yourself, and how you respond to the world around you. You may notice anxiety, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, or patterns that feel confusing and hard to change.
EMDR is a gentle, evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing experiences so they no longer carry the same emotional intensity. It is not about erasing memories, but about helping you relate to them differently, so they feel less overwhelming and no longer control your present.
EMDR uses a structured process involving gentle eye movements, tapping, or alternating sounds. You remain fully in control throughout, and you do not need to share every detail of your experiences. I combine EMDR with relational therapy and nervous system regulation to ensure the work feels safe, supportive, and compassionate.
EMDR can be helpful for trauma and PTSD, anxiety, panic, low self-worth, intrusive memories, childhood experiences, grief, and relationship or attachment difficulties.

Blue Light & Emergency Services Support
With over 15 years of experience working both in my private practice and within the emergency services, my roles have included Senior Occupational Health Counsellor, Wellbeing and Engagement Manager, and most recently Trauma Lead for Northumbria Police. As Trauma Lead, I provided trauma treatment to officers and staff on a regional scale.
I have extensive experience providing one-to-one therapy and managing work-related stress and trauma support for a workforce of over 3,500 police officers and staff, including PTSD, Complex PTSD, and vicarious trauma.
I am proud to support the work of the Blue Lamp Foundation, helping emergency service personnel injured in the line of duty and their families.
I offer a discounted rate to Blue Light service personnel, whether serving or retired.
